Reunion Feast!

The highlights of any Chinese New Years for a family must be the Reunion Dinner.  I shall called it a "small feast" as tonight, all family members gather around  the dinner table to enjoy a good meal.

For 2009 we are having:
(left to right, clockwise) : Steam Kampung Chicken, Roast Pork(Siew Yuk), Braised mushroom with sea cucumber and cauliflower, Stirred fried prawn in superior soya sauce, Yu Hu Char, Pickled Cucumber(not in picture), Pork stamach soup with pepper(not in picture), and fresh green salad.

Apart from good food, we also have a Court Jester to provide entertainment.

All this delicious food is solely credited to the Executive Chef!

CNY Monster! The modern "nian"

In Chinese folklore, "nian" suppose to be a supernatural creature who comes to terrorize the people during Chinese New Year.  "Nian" has been "disposed" off by the red auspicious color and the loud fire cracker "bang" but in the year 2009, we have a different kind of monster terrorizing the neighbourhood, I call is "Ice Lemon Tea Monster" which looks like this:

What is the proper offerings for this monster?  perhaps a BNNSLL?

UMNO Dumbass joke !!

an excerpt from my favourite, Malaysia Today website. by RPK.

"The Umno ‘Wow Factor’

A
farmer named Lakbir Singh was overseeing his herd in a remote pasture
in Bolehland when suddenly a brand-new BMW advanced out of a dust cloud
towards him.

The driver, a young Malay man in an Armani suit,
Gucci shoes, RayBan sunglasses and YSL tie, leans out the window and
asks the farmer, "If I tell you exactly how many cows and calves you
have in your herd, will you give me a calf?"

Lakbir looks at the man, obviously a yuppie, then looks at his peacefully grazing herd and calmly answers, "Sure, why not?"

The
yuppie parks his car, whips out his Dell notebook computer, connects it
to his Cingular RAZR V3 cell phone, and surfs to a NASA page on the
Internet, where he calls up a GPS satellite to get an exact fix on his
location which he then feeds to another NASA satellite that scans the
area in an ultra-high-resolution photo.

The young man then opens
the digital photo in Adobe Photoshop and exports it to an image
processing facility in Hamburg, Germany. Within mere seconds, he
receives an email on his Palm Pilot that the image has been processed
and the data is stored. He then accesses a MS-SQL database through an
ODBC connected Excel spreadsheet with email on his Blackberry and,
after a few minutes, receives a response. Finally, he prints out a
full-colour, 150-page report on his hi-tech, miniaturized HP LaserJet
printer and finally turns to the farmer and says, "You have exactly
1,586 cows and calves."

"That's right. Well, I guess you can take one of my calves," says Lakbir.

He
watches the young man select one of the animals and looks on amused as
the young man stuffs it into the trunk of his car. Then Lakbir says to
the young man, "Hey, if I can tell you exactly what your business is,
will you give me back my calf?"

The young man thinks about it for a second and then says, "Okay, why not?"

"You're a graduate from Oxford and a Member of Parliament for Umno," says Lakbir.

"Wow! That's correct," exclaims the yuppie with the customary Umno's Wow Factor, "But how did you guess that?"

"No
guessing required," answered Lakbir. "You showed up here even though
nobody called you; you want to get paid for an answer I already knew,
and to a question I never asked. You tried to show me how much smarter
you are, and you don't know a thing about cows. This is a herd of
sheep. Now give me back my dog."

Jalan Alor...Food paradise

Thank god, "Jalan Alor" survive. It will be a disaster if the famous Jalan Alor was rename to "Jalan Kejora!"

Yesterday night was in town to buy something, since I am not a "Fast Food" (these include, cafe, bistro, bla...bla...you name it) kinda guy, me and wifey walk over to Jalan Alor for some some "real" food.

It has been years i have stepped my foot into Jalan Alor as I always try to avoid this Mayhem-ly-Traffic Jam part of KL at all cost. The first thing that caught my attention was how touristy this road has become! it has lost some of its old charm and transformed into one brightly lit, extravaganza hawker heaven selling wannabe Penang's hawker delicacies. With "foreign" tout pulling customers with a mixture of cantonese dialects, mandarin to a more "canggih" japanese language.

We ignore all these hawkers center and try to walk to the other end of the road to have some "kung po" frog prorridge, used to be a common offerings in Jalan Alor. Unfortunately, the shop that we used to frequent before seems to vanish into thin air! either my blurish memories has failed me or the place has "chap lap". But all is not lost, we settle for another famed eatery in Jalan Alor. "Wong Ah Wah BBQ chicken wings"

We settle down on one table under a verandah and quickly ordered ourself 4 Chickie Wings, a Hokkien fried noodles for 2, grill ikan pari, and some stirred fried vege. While waiting for the food to be served, one small rodent incident make us changed to another table in the aircond section to avoid a 2nd encounter.

What happen was, I saw one huge greyish colour rat with a 12 inch tail sprinting towards our table from the far corner, eventually running thru under our table almost brushing wifey feet.(i raised my feet immediately once i saw this rodent)...jeeez...tourist eating place eh..?

The food arrive piping hot soon and the taste is good...for RM 44.00 inclusive of 2 herbal tea. Ha...not bad at all..except the little incident with a rat. Nope this is not your Ratatouile rat but a big ugly, disease infected version.

"Ang Pow" comes early for Kuala Trengganu folks

It is really a windfall in KT, Since there is a "Bi-election" happening in town, The Barisan National has been throwing lavish free dinner, cash money etc.  Cash of Rm200, 300, 500, or even 1000 are reported.  I am not suprised at all as this was always the tactics of BN to secure votes.  Either they throw money at your face like you are beggar or they threaten you.  I still remember during the 308 elections, MCA ceramah is always a good deal for me, free 10 course dinner + free rice, biscuit etc.  but i always proceed to the nearby PR ceramah to show my support after i fill my tummy! Thank you MCA!

Folks in KT, Do not feel guilty for taking any goodies offered to you by the Barisan National; please take it! it is your money!  They have been robbing us for the past 50 years or so.  Take all the stuff that offers to you in return for your vote, but just do not vote them on the polling day.

BN is so bankfrupt of idea to capture the aspirations of the rakyat, they hink we are some beggar that want a few hundred bucks!  yes, we are hunger for money, but we are hunger for the billions of RM you steal from us!  Despite using the same tactic in the 308 elections, they still loose big time, and the irony is, they still never learn.

I hope more MP from the BN died or resign or for whatever reason, vacating the seats for a "Bi-election", especially in this trying times of receesion.  As Election = Goodies!

"Apache" Gang!

Hey, now the mat rempits got new canggih gang name, if you read today Sin Chew daily, the police nabbed many Mat rempits during an operasi.  And from this rempits, they found "membership" card.  Apparently many of this rempits are from this "Apache" Gang.  I wonder who is the leader of this Gang?  Maybe is SIL Khairi Jamaludin?  Im not suprised if he was behind this as he was once glamourised these law breaking hooligans as "Mat Cemerlang"!

Another thing that bothers me is, Is'nt "Apache" sounds American?

JOM! Lets boycott!

Again, our politicians and former famous out of party politicians initiate some very stupid measures in response to the conflict in Gaza Strip.  You can ask: " what can we do?"  Hahahaha..."JOM! Lets Boycott!"

Our former famous out of party politician, Mahatiu Mohd urged the Muslim world to boycott all products make  Uncle SAM!  duh...

This is another typical senile case of Mahatiu or an overdose of Ganja(since he got nothing better to do anyway).  May i know how many so called of "American brand" were made in "Amerika" anyway?  Most of the products are either make in China or in other countries.  The worst case is that some of these products are actually made in Malaysia!

Of course the senile Mahatiu do not care since he got billions stashed in a swiss bank.  Bu boycotting US brands may actually hurt us, the normal rakyat more than Uncle Sam.  Just figure this out, If you boycott Starbucks, and Starbucks collapsed, who will suffer more?  The last time i checke, most employees in Starbucks are our Malay friend!  Who will be out of job!  This scenario also apply to Pizza Hut, Mcdonald and KFC.  Who are the majority workers in Intel, AMD, Motorola factories?  Again is our Malay friend!

Many people would like to ride on the conflict in the Gaza Strip to gain political mileage, including our morons in our government and our senile Mahatiu.  If they really want to help the Palestinian, Please pack your bag and buy the earliest flight to Middle east.  You can fight alongside with HAMAS.

Oh.. another advice to Mahatiu, Please close down chedet.com(Intel and AMD is American), and stop eating your heart medicine; I am sure all these are made by the Americans too.

Come On, KT Chinese! Show your power!

An excerpt from Good old RPK posting in Malaysia Today:

"The issue of Hudud is not really that serious an issue except to those weak in arithmetic. These weaklings do not appear to understand, or pretend to not understand, that Malaysia has 222 Parliament constituencies and two-thirds of 222 is 148. This means PAS will need to win 148 Parliament seats to form the federal government with a two-thirds majority and with the required majority to amend the Federal Constitution of Malaysia.

This has been explained so many times in the past. And it has also been explained that PAS contests only 60 seats, far short of the 148, and they win less than half the seats they contest. In 1999 they won 27 seats. In 2004 they won 9. And in 2008 they won 23. How in heaven’s name can PAS amend the Constitution when this is all it can win?

I have said this before, many times, and I will say it again. PAS can never in 100 years win more than 35 Parliament seats, never mind how many seats they contest. They can contest all 222 Parliament seats and they will still win, at best, 35 seats. Most likely, though, PAS will win less than 30 seats.

Now, some are arguing that PAS can always team up with Umno to get their two-thirds majority. Aiyah, Umno has only 78 seats in Parliament. Combined with PAS it would be only 101 seats. Did I not say they need 148 seats to have a two-thirds majority? Even then you are assuming that the 13 Umno Parliamentarians in Sabah will follow the 65 in Peninsular Malaysia. I dare take on any bet that if Umno decides to merge with PAS to turn Malaysia into an Islamic State, at least 10 of the Umno Sabah Parliamentarians will jump ship.

Sigh……it is most tiring having to keep repeating this same issue and present the arithmetic for all to see. Yet, many still repeat the same questions in spite of this repeated explanation and even with the arithmetic glaring you in the face. I am sure many readers are as tired of reading this explanation as I am of repeating it to those thick heads who still don’t get it."

The never ending middle east conflict!

Israel, Hamas brush off U.N. cease-fire resolution - CNN.com

for generations this regions has been engulfed in war and there is no solution in sight! sigh..Israel vs Palestinian, Hamas vs Israel, etc..etc..it seems there is someone who do not want this conflict to end.  If the Palestinian or arabs has vows to eliminate Israel from their holy land, it is quite impossible unless a tactical Nuclear bomb is dropped on Israel.  If that really happens, the end of the world is here.

Why cant the Palestinian live in peace with the Israelies?  Yes, you may say many many donkey years ago, Israel has done wrong things to the arab communities..bla..bla..and most of us agree too! But we are talking about the future here!  If you keep poisoning the young mind about the evils of Israel, and the purpose in life is to blow away Israel from the face of mother earth, either using rockets or your body! It will forever war!  You cannot change the past but you can make the future a better place to be.

By having Kyusha rockets for breakfast and missiles for lunch is not a better place to be.  Perhaps the younger generation do not want a better place in Palestinian, they only want to become a matyr and meet their 12 virgins in Heaven.  If that is true, some one please nuke the land into oblivion.  the 12 virgins can't wait anymore.

Datuk Seri, Please, no more empty promises!

In Anwar's blog read:Anwar Renews Power Bid at Anwar Ibrahim

Datuk Seri Anwar, Please do not give out empty promises and rhetoric again!  We are glad that you have laid low for some time after your 916 promises fall flat.  The Rakyat still support the PR coalition but another big promise which you cannot deliver may disappoint us forever.  With the KT by election going in full swing, the Spin doctors in UMNO may use its controlled media against you.

We would prefer you to strengthen the PR coalition now and weed out the rotten apples(those who jostled for position and act like UMNO goons).  a Strong PR coalition in the next GE will have a better chance to unseat the antiqued BN government.  We, the rakyat have waited 50 years for this, we can wait another 3 more years!

The rakyat will prevailed!

Trengganu, the state with RM billions of oil money or "Wang Ehsan"

I was reading this in Malaysia today this morning, and how true is this?  IT IS A FACT OF LIFE WHEN YOU ARE RULE BY THE MONEY SUCKING BN GOVERNMENT!!!!!!

This is not happening to Trengganu alone and this is also a fact in other states.  With the money they siphon of from the coffers, it will last me, you, your family, your friends, family's friend, friend's family at least 3 generations!

SAY "TAK NAK" to BN, SAY go to hell "NAJIS", SAY "JUSTICE to ALANTUYA"

I hate eletions, be it a "By" or not!

I hate the BN government says in every election!  In every election that i know off, they always use this message in their campaign : "Vote us, we will bring development"  What the heck?  if the people do not vote BN, they will throw us back to the 60s???  A candidate or a political party in an election suppose to capture the peoples heart, inspire the people of the change it will bring if he/she won. Unfortunately, Barisan tagline is more like threatening the voters in the area.

In the KT By election now, BN is putting in a more people orientated(民心) manifesto to win over the voters but the message it send out to the people, well at least to me, is more like issuing threats. "Vote us and you get your oil money", "vote BN candidate, and we will make him a deputy minister so he will bring development to you".

Damn you Barisan National, even the rakyat vote for you, all the money will eventually goes to your crony, not the rakyat!  Look at the case of Idris Jusoh, the caretaker of all the oil money during PAS term in Trengganu, did he spend any $$ for the rakyat???  ahh... i forgot..yes ...he indeed spend something for the rakyat, he organised a lavish totally unnecessary Monsoon Cup! a Sailing event in Malaysia!! duh...ar...and he also built the Crystal Mosque for the no purpose others than sitting pretty in a post card!

The Rakyat are wiser now, vote for you, the money will also siphon off by BN goons, don't vote for you, at least still got 50-50 chances of getting some goodies from the PR government.

We have learn from the 308 elections, just look at Selangor and Penang! In Selangor, we have free water, no big deal but at least something.  In Penang, all the schools be it Chinese/Malay/tamil received grant from the state government.  Even the scumbag MCA start to work hard after they loose power.  These are all the benefits for having a stronger opposition!

vote wisely, KT folks!

To many parents, today is indeed a stressful day!  It is the first day of school!  Today is also a day when you can see all the kiasu malaysian in action.  Reckless parking everywhere, double park, triple park along the sholders of the road.  Parents quarreling among themselves and with the school authorities.  Some super kiasu parents event throwing comments like " I live in a Bungalow one!" to get favaourable treatment for themselves or their children, at the expense of other rules abiding parents....

All this in action at one new chinese primary school in Kota Kemuning...
